Track a self-chosen focus period

Use Counter as a simple date marker for a focus commitment. It does not measure screen time, block sites, count work sessions, or monitor your device.

Choose a commitment you can describe

A label such as “Started phone-free mornings” records when you chose to begin. Select count up and enter the start date. The display advances with calendar days, regardless of whether you followed the commitment.

For time spent on an app, use your device's screen-time tools. For individual study or work sessions, use a timer or session log. A day counter measures a different thing.

Keep your date and your records separate

Use Edit date to correct a mistake. Reset to today if you intentionally want a fresh start. Neither action reconstructs what happened on individual days, and Counter does not automatically reset after a distraction.

A target date, such as the end of a planned focus period, belongs in a countdown rather than a count-up counter. You can change that target with Edit date.

Make the setup easy to return to

Save your recovery ID securely or link an optional recovery email. You do not have to open the app every day for the date calculation to continue.

Keep the counter private unless you intend to publish it. A public label can disclose a personal or workplace routine and may appear in search results.
